Tired Hands, Full Bellies
Not everyone is capable of or willing to forage, grow or hunt their own food, but a hands-on understanding of basic and ancient food preparation techniques can change the way all of us view our roles in both local and global food systems. How lucky to live in the 21st century when most of us have access to any food our hearts could desire. But food is our deepest connection to ourselves, our land, our history and each other, and this instant access to all manner of meat and produce has left us lacking in our understanding of the hard work necessary to produce these foods. I hope that these classes and services will inspire you to pick up a knife, a shovel, a gun or a book in your own personal attempt to change your impact on the world and your own body through your food choices.
